I am inclined to think that the name "Bulley" or "Bully" displaced the name "Mosies". I have not yet seen the singular of Mosies. I suppose it could be Mosey. Here is a part entry from one of Slade's journals: ".raining in the evening - some fish obtained by the mosies in the bight, and skiffs from across the bay." The entry is dated Friday 19th June 1829.
