labrador n The terms _Canadian-Labrador_ and _Newfoundland-Labrador_ were once very common and are still frequently used in Newfoundland. The Canadian-Labrador, a stretch of coastline from the St. John river in the Province of Quebec (later from Mt. Joli) to Blanc Sablon, is now part of the Province of Quebec, and the term _Labrador_ , as mentioned later, is officially restricted to the Newfoundland territory on the mainland.
