labrador n Authorities (as Anderson) con- sider that the chief actor is the large Labrador vole (_Microtus enixus_). But other species of small rodents live in Northern Labrador, the foll- owing being recorded .: at least two voles or meadow-mice (_Microtus_ _enixus_ and _M. pennsylvanicus labradorius_), two red-backed voles (_Clethrionomys gapperi ungava_ and _C. g. proteus_), a false lemming-mouse (_Phenacromys ungava ungava_), a lemming-mouse (_Synaptomys borealis_ _innuitus_), a banded lemming (_Dicrostonyx hudsonius_), and a white-footed deer-mouse (_Peromyscus maniculatus maniculatus_).
