The amaz- ing thing was that he could do anything- Mechanical, Medicin- al, or any common chore- at least the informant believed he could. She had so much faith in him that she phoned him a long distance away to come and fix her engine. "Yes my dear, the Shanty man can do better than the mechanics." He appeared to be a sort of God or some magical figure to her." Heard from Mrs. H. James, store keeper, aged 45 of South Brook, Green Bay.
