This money came in eight-sided aluminum coins about the size of a twenty-five cent piece with the words 'Horwood Lumber Company Limited' on one side and 'Good Only for Trade' on the other. As I recall, it was issued in values of a dollar, fifty cents and twenty-five cents, and since the workers and their families could only spend it at the company store, and had very little ready cash, we didn't get much trade.
