Summary: | send v I have heard this word used by my brother-in-law, Fred Chard, Port Union ( carpenter, aged 35 ) who originally came from Bonavista. It means "senT". I'm not sure of the spelling. I have also heard it used on New Word Island, N.D.B. where I taught for a year. For example, supposing I asked my brother- in-law if the out-board motor is working now; he would probably reply, "Well, I saund for the new part over 3 weeks ago, but it hasn't arrived yet.
