| Summary: | mar falten _Mar follitin_. In Elliston, Trinity Bay, on April I until noon, people get up early in order to 'own' as many people as they can. They creep up on somebody and say: "Mar follitin" (Good morning, valentine). The person so addressed ("owned") must give a small gift to the one who 'owned' him. As a boy I tried to own all my relatives first; I was sure of getting a gift from each of them.
