Summary: | labrador n Northward of Hudson Strait, the current flowing down the Canadian shore of Baffin bay is known as the Baffin Land current. Its continuation, southward of Hud- son strait is called the Labrador current. The Labrador current widens as it proceeds southward, and, after passing Belle Isle strait and the eastern coast of Newfoundland, it floods the whole of the Grand Bank of Newfoundland, with the exception, during the summer months, of the extreme southern part.
