Description
Summary:knee A favourite of the author was always the knee rubber. Here, to his mind, is an item of footwear ideally suited, except for the depths of summer, to year round use in the outharbor. While not so jaunty as the long rubber, it is far better suited, with two pairs of stockings =walking inside, to the slushy footing of winter than is the logan. It affords more protection from seepage whilst traversing both beach and bog, and is less heavy than the long rubber. The knee rubber - of "Hood" "Blue Bar" or "Miner" manufacture - was a constant piece of equipage in the writer's wardrobe from earliest days onward. PRINTED ITEM W. J.
