johnny1 n The parent or an adult usually performs the following act to entertain the child (ages 2-4 yrs.) A piece of cloth _eg_ a towel or blanket is placed over the heads of both the child and the parent or teller. The teller keeps his arm and hand outside of the cover and keeps moving it over the [Reverse] outside of the cloth, usually near the face of the child. While moving his hand over the cloth, the following is said: "Ill tell you a story about Johnny MacGory, who burned (also boned) a hole in the blanket" This is continually said and the movement of the hand on the outside of the cover keeps the child's attention.
