Thus have those hot headed Republicans lately returned from France imbibed Jacobin principles & brought indelible infamy upon our holy Religion that breaths nothing more than loyalty & obedience to the Laws of God & the constituted authorities of every country. It is easy to overlook the familiarity of 18th-early 19th century Nfld with 'currents' at 'home', and the easy drift of terms arising from political/ religious tumults.
