There would be two strings on the upper part of this breast-piece and these string would be used to tie this part of the habit around the neck. On this breast-piece the letters I.H.S. would be woven or placed. This piece of clothing would be trimmed with wide white silk ribbon. Above the initials I.H.S. would be a white cross & Beneath the letters was a white heart. Another piece of clothing was a face covering.
