The greenhouse was usually built by covering part of an old boat with sods. The sods weren't as thick as those used in building a cellar. [reverse] (Green or cabbage house) <--- sods are not as thick as for cellar since cabbage needs cooler temperatures <--- sawed off part of boat turned bottom up <--- may be 2 doors like in cellar ^ sods placed at ends as well as on the sides of the 'boat'.
