grass A lady who attends a party unaccompanied by her husband. Heard from mother, Elizabeth Trask, housewife, aged 76. I guess the saying was handed down from her parents and grand- parents. I learned of it in about 1925. Used I and Sup Not used Withdrawn Typed.
