Description
Summary:god One of the cures in Wesleyville for a tooth ache was [or it might be is] to get an insect which is called by the people 'God's cow'. Put the cow in a bag and hang it around the neck. This will cure the toothache. I suppose the fear that the insect will get out of the bag makes the person forget all about the toothache. This so called 'cure' is no longer practised in the community. . . . I do not know any other name for this insect, but it is black and red in color and is the shape of turtles [sic] back.
