fish When their turn come [sic] the fish were hoisted, weighed and fishermen given a fish-ticket. On this ticket the number of pounds, the kind of fish and the value were marked. [reverse] STeam to the collar, load their trawl aboard the dory, clean the boat thoroughly, cover the exhaust, put up most of the sliding doors, row to the government slip, carry their trawl and bait to the stage which is a little way up the slip and then go home for a quick but tasty supper. This is what most of the _fish tickets_ look like. The fisherman gets one copy and at end of the week he will go up and "settle up". It is split in half - a small percentage taken for boat - and this is the continual process day in day out and year in and year out.
