And they'd always see his _light_. And there was a old fellar lived ever in Back Harbour, OH A hard old case! Old Joe Janes. The first summer my father went TO (THE) Labrador,that's who he went wi'. He was only a young feller. Old Joe James. An' after. after years old joe and his two brothers went in the bay for a lead o' rimes in the Spring o' the year,fir rimes. Comin' down,they got benighted. By an' by they seed this here _Baker's Light_. [PT] And they begin to say that _Baker's Light_ [PT] was comin'. Old Joe (SAID??);(THE) WELL ON IT ( ? ) He said: Whether he's comin' or no!" He said, "We got nothing for un IF he comes! And by an' by he come right down in the top o' the scullin' -car,and dance about! And one of his brothers get faint-hearted,.fell down,fell back on hi(s).on his car. And Joe told him to get up and pull em. He (ie the _Light_) was nothing. And that _light_ they said fallied (ie followed) un till he got down (the HARBOUR and put the skiff ashore on the beach. (An') old Joe jumped out on the beach and citched (ie caught) up rocks above [THEM] at un! J.
