She wouldn't .she said well until about last year, she was threatened one time: a priest [PT] said to her.i was.he was giving sort of an example about _The Devil_ [PT] coming up an' he said that he.he said, 'I saw with my own eyes _the Devil_ come up an' take this woman.' And, you know, Georgia was just absolutely terrified from then on of anything to do with _the Devil_ [PT]. She really. JW. Where does she come from? M. She's from.well her mother's from Fogo, but she has lived all her life in Gander. JW. An' did she say where this took place? M. This is in Gander in.in schools. And it was really.you know, I was shocked by it, because he said, 'I saw it with my own eyes _the Devil_ [PT] come up and take this woman.' And he told all the effects it had on her an' everything. Poor Georgia was really, really terrified. JW. And this woman would.presumably was an evil woman of some sort or was thought to be? M. Yes. Mm-mm. Well she didn't reprent her sins, so then I guess.JW. So this was in fact as a lesson to children to _repent_? M. Mm-mm [ie yes]. This is what it was. Yes. JW. So these were very strong, and you've even heard this again from.now how old's she? M. Well right now she's twenty; she's same (age as I am).
