Description
Summary:Dada _Dada_- address given to paternal grandfather rather than grandpa or grandfather etc. My relationship to this relative was stiff and formal. My mother and father would take me and my brothers and sisters to visit our grandparents on Sunday afternoons. We would shyly enter the big living room. The old man and then hard-of-hearing would be seated near the fire place reading. Each of us would approach him to greet him with a kiss. Most of our conversation was 'yes, dada' or 'no, dada.' We would often leave the adults to go to the garden. address given to paternal grandfather Yes DICT CEN.
