It consisted of a round base about 15" or 16" in diameter. In to this base there were three round prongs about 6" long. They were near the centre and placed on an angle in triangular form. From this base extended [over] [reverse] another handle about 4' long and about 2" square. Through the top of the handle a hole was hoed and a srucj aviyt 1' long was placed in a T fashion with the long handle. The whole thing looked something like this: [drawing] the clothes was put in a tub and the dolly was used as an agitator in much the same was as the modern washers of course this was powered by a woman.
