| Summary: | chovy n Before going to bed, my father would first cut out some "_chobies_" to light the fire with the next morning. This would be done almost every night. "chobies" are made by cutting shavings from a "split" (small piece of wood also used to start fires) in such a manner that they hang on at one end of the "split" in a curled up fashion.
