On Christmas Eve only! I could almost see the spirit of my old chum, gone to the Great Beyond for many years, strumming his harp while ad libbing to the tune of "O Tannenbaum" "O Christmas fish! O Christmas fish! What wrought this change, you tasty dish!" [over] The many "Christmas fish" I caught were on average about nine inches long and almost an exact replica of a small tom- cod, without any of the light brown shade sometimes seen on tomcod.
