It was,yeah,I think it was this family who (probably. ) JW.This particular family,probably,yeah. R. The Hettasches. JW. Yeah. R. And they were German,probably. JW. Mm. I taught one o' them a couple o' years ago,yeah,one that's still. R. .I imagine,(or Ernie). Yeah. And I.I think it was from the Hettasches. I.I don't know if it was any more widespread than that. JW. So in actual fact he.he would be threatened with the Sandman,but he'd be told 'Johnny' would be coming?xx R. Mm. [ie yes.] J. And then one night this lady dressed up an' went out in this particular guise. Now let's these det- ails correct: she wore old clothes,or some sort of unusual clothes? R. Yeah. JW. An' they were man's clothes presumably? R. Old man's clothes - an old jacket,old pants, shoes.She had a hat on her head and the shavings,you know,coming down out of.out of the hat,sort of.you know,sort of the hat would hold them,an' they wouldn't fall out.And she had a bag,again a lot of.shavings in - that would hold. JW.What's the bag made of? Is it just a brin bag or what? R.I think it was a brin bag,and.with newspaper an' stuff stuffed inside to make it thick, and shavings an' everything sticking out of the top.An' she was supposed OVER.
