Intended as a sincere tribute to the people and the songs and music of Newfoundland and Labrador, it was performed by the St. John's Extension Choir of 80 male and female voices under the sponsorship of Memorial University of Newfoundland and directed by Ignatius A. Rumboldt" (jacket back).
