The Bows have it." -- An 1832 political cartoon by John Doyle, an Irish-born artist and political caricaturist who lived and worked in London, signed with his caricaturist's pen name "H.B." Likely inspired by the recent agitation for Representative Government, which was in fact granted later that year, it portrays the potential Newfoundland Legislature as a pack of dogs.
