Description
Summary:This book was prepared as a memorial to F. A. Bruton, who directed instruction in nature study for Newfoundland teachers in the annual summer school from 1926-1929. The book was started by Bruton, and was to be used as a textbook in the island's natural history in Newfoundland schools. Bruton completed only chapters 1-8 before his death, and so the book was then completed by Norman M. Johnson. Volume one contains the first eight chapters completed by Bruton on the fauna of Newfoundland.
