A re-publication of "Report of progress on the Geological Survey", 1864-1880. Provides a detailed description of Newfoundland's geological features and resources for the years 1864 to 1880, this book also includes a brief overview of the surveyor's responsibilities in conducting surveys and of the methods used. Murray republished these surveys as a set, as there was considerable demand for them, and several were now out of print. The surveys contained in this work had been revised and corrected by Murray prior to its publication. Includes bibliographical references.
