Chapter 15 (p. 100-109) covers Sir Wilfred Grenfell, who as a young doctor was sent to Labrador by The Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen on the hospital ship "Albert" to serve the needs of people who had previously had access to a doctor only during the summer months. Grenfell was well loved by the people of Newfoundland and Labrador, and chose to remain there until his marriage in 1908. When in Labrador he raised funds for two hospitals and an orphanage.
