This book is a narrative of the Hudson Bay Expedition in 1884. It includes chapters on the Canadian Pacific Railway, Labrador, the snow-covered hills of Nachvak, the Eskimo Indians of the Hudson Strait, and problems with ice and icebergs on the voyage. Other sections deal with the establishment of several observation stations, the Cree settlements, personal sketches of Lieutenant Gordon, Captain Sopp and Dr. Bell, as well as a number of zoological notations. Several charts, maps, and illustrations are included in this text.
