This book is a brief history of the social and economic conditions in Canada's maritime, mining, and prarie provinces. Sections contain information on the fisheries and mineral products of Newfoundland, gold mines and the collieries in Nova Scotia, and the lobster and mackeral fisheries in Prince Edward Island. A brief history of each of these regions of Canada is included.
