Harnum, Jeremy French, Frank (1952-); French, Marcus (1917-2001) Frank French was born August 12, 1952 to Margaret and Marcus French in Winterton. He worked as a teacher on the Burin and Avalon Peninsulas until his retirement from teaching in 1998. He has been on the Wooden Boat Museum of Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Directors since its inception in 2008 and was involved with its predecessor, the Winterton Boat Building Museum, since 2001. He is the son of Marcus French, boat builder inviewed by David Taylor in the 1970s.
