The goal of the CCC is to transform Corner Brook into the “Campus City” of choice for students pursuing post-secondary education (PSE). By fostering a better understanding of the role post-secondary institutions play in the economic, social, and cultural fabric of the City of Corner Brook and the western region, the CCC expects to see an increase in the number of students who choose Corner Brook and its post-secondary institutions for their education. The CCC has undertaken a number of initiatives that promote the role of post-secondary education in Corner Brook. One of these initiatives for Orientation 2012 is "Campus CIty Connect", a joint partnership to undertake annual orientation activities that will include not only post-secondary students, faculty and staff, high school students, local business, and the broader Corner Brook community. These events run concurrently with the orientation activities of each separate institution. The objectives of Campus City Connect are: •Stimulate increased enrolment at each institution •Build support for the “campus city” concept *Connect businesses and students •Increase social and economic activity in the community •Create annual events that welcomes PSE students to engage with our community This presentation will discuss how we were able to create CCC 2012 and plans for CCC 2013 and beyond.
