The writer first used a review of the literature to determine the types of information which should be included in a Job Analysis Guide. Then, using a Job Analysis Questionnaire, information was collected from the literature and through interviews with persons in the various occupational fields. After all information was collected, members of the various occupations were consulted to verify its accuracy and completeness. – The information was then examined, analysed and classified into ten categories which were deemed imperative by the literature for inclusion in Analysis Guide. The Job Analysis Guide was divided into three main sections. Section I was a Chart of jobs for which training was available in Newfoundland and the locations of the appropriate training centers. Section II contained the seventy-four job analyses. Section III was a brief description of apprenticeship training available in Newfoundland. – The Guide was then made available to the Department of Education to be reproduced and sent out to all of the high schools in Newfoundland.
