OSISAF sea ice drift data provided by EUMETSAT were used for the analysis during the months of March and April. Daily ice drifting speed and deformation parameters showed a strong correlation throughout the observed interval, while a local-scale analysis revealed different patterns for ice divergence and convergence in areas of enhanced ice drift.
