Summary:This is a qualitative evaluation of Omvårdnadslyftet in Luleå kommun with focus on the benefits for the organization. Omvårdnadslyftet is a national effort on the improvement of competence in health and social care. The benefits for the organization will be defined as learning organization which refers to an organization that continuously learn from their experiences to solve its tasks in a better way. The members in a learning organization have good knowledge about results, problems and goals. The aim with this essay is to evaluate if Omvårdnadslyftet have contributed to race the competence in health and social care and if the participation have strengthen the employments in their professional role. The empirical material is qualitative interviews with employments from the health and social care. Interviews have been chosen as method to get a deeper understanding about how the employments have experienced the opportunities for improvement of competence and in which way they believe that the effort have been good for the organization. The results shows that the respondents experience an improved competence and also feel strengthen in their professional work. They all agree that the information in the beginning were deficient. The respondents experienced that the support from the management were the most fallible with the effort Omvårdnadslyftet. Otherwise the participants in this essay were pleased ant felt that Omvårdnadslyftet were positive for both the individual and for the organization.
