The work has met 30 credits and has been to build up a new standard for checking fixtures and raise the overall impression of their products.The project's aim has been to review alternative materials and procedures to build this checking fixtures. Find a color scheme to put on these, but which also can be implemented in the company's other products, eventually. Even create a foundation for how Tooltech Inc. can reach its customers. Demands from Tooltech AB has been so easy fabrication as possible but without any specific detail requirements, more general common sense because every checking fixture is unique. Although each fixture is unique, the goal was to find a standard so that each fixture, as far as possible is already finished when the customer's specifications is received.The project began with an introduction week for a total of what a checking fixture is. Then the work was structured by means of a project plan, a Gantt chart and a Action strip. The work can be said to have been in four stages, the first stage consisted of broad learning what a checking fixture is and what the requirements are of such. The second step was analysis and problem determination where things can be improved was noted. In step three concepts were presented and then in step four concretized towards a new product standard. Much of the work was done in CAD to quickly see the results of a change in the shape or color but also to feel how it is to build a fixture. This, together with the information from them have given good feedback on what can be improved in their own CAD structure.The results of this work are two concepts of checking fixtures which together cover all the requirements a customer might ask.
