In 2004, Golden Eagle was recorded attached (foraging and displaying) to one territory in eastern Lithuania, but the nest was not found. In March 2005, adult Golden Eagle was observed in the same territory decorating its nest in an old pine stand. Despite unsuccesseful breeding in 2005, Golden Eagle could be regarded as a breeding species of the Lithuanian fauna.
