Summary: | This directive allows the traders to provide commercial warranty, which is of additional nature. If consumer buys a good without commercial warranty, he is able to take advantage of the legal guarantee. Unless proved otherwise, any lack of conformity which becomes apparent within six months of delivery of the goods shall be presumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless this presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the nature of the lack of conformity. The ECC-Net is an EU-wide network whose aim is to assist consumers with crossborder complaints, provide you with free advice in your situation, to refer to an appropriate institution when ECC is not able to resolve the complaint. Those consumers who bought the goods or services in another EU Member State, Norway and Iceland can refer to the centre of the state where he lives after the written application to the trader. This centre will transfer all the documents with complaint to the European Consumer Centre, which is located in the country where the trader is registered. This centre will contact the seller or service provider for the peaceful settlement of the problem under the existing EU consumer rights legislation. |
