Main reasons is sufficient food supply due to intensive silviculture, agriculture and additional feeding even in mild winters. Intensive silviculture is improving forest capacity to maintain higher cervidae abundance by increasing young trees, suitable for browsing and debarking. However, increasing cervidae abundance creates the need to invest more in forest protection tools. The research of cervidae abundance and impact to forest regeneration was performed in Telšiai state forest enterprise, Ringių forest district, in the area of two hunting clubs “Pušynas” and “Obelynas”. The results showed that main native cervidea species is very abundant in the research area Moose (Alces alces). Red deer (Cervus elaphus) and Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus). Moose is exceeding a highest recommended abundance by 1.5 ind./1000 ha, while Red deer and Roe deer exceeds recommended abundance tree times. Even cervidae abundance in the area is very high, negative mpact to forest regeneration is very small. Main reasons are huge investment to forest protection and suitable biotechnical tolls, improving a living environment to animals. Feeding pastures and artificial feeding places helps to keep animals away from young forest areas. In current conditions, cervidae abundance there are no need to reduce cervidae abundance.
