The till plain of Baisogala is formed of calcareous morainic layers rich in boulders, pebble and gravel. This confirms the intensive exaration of surface and accumulation of a basal till during the last and penultimate glaciations. Therefore it is quite reasonable to name this plain as the basal till plain. Article in Journal/Newspaper Ice Sheet LSRC VL (Lithuanian Social Research Centre Virtual Library) |
