A previous article showed that ambivalent power interactions can be analyzed through indigenous knowledge, skills, empathy and various subsistence strategies. This article mainly analyzes how power and luck can be seen as an emplaced relation. It argues that this aspect is underepresented in worldwide ethnographic studies of landscape.
