Социальные сети как потенциальный фактор суицидального поведения подростков (на примере групп ВКонтакте «Синий кит»)

The purpose of this thesis is to establish the relationship between the social phenomenon of suicide and groups (communities), which mention the subject of suicide, in social networks on the example of the network \"Vkontakte\". The work consists of three main parts; the analysis of literature, the research and its results, conclusion and the attachment. Literature analysis reviews the publications dedicated to the sociological, psychiatrical, philosophical approaches dealing with the problem of suicide in relation with the social networks. In addition, a wide range of publications in the media on the problem of the suicide quests was reviewed and different points of view on these quests were provided. The thesis contains different statistical data also. The relevance of the chosen topic is confirmed by the constant growth on the number of users of social networks and their high popularity among young people and the increased number of suicides in this age group associated with actions in social networks. The development of the Internet has led to an increase in the number of people who prefer virtual communication to real, that entails the destruction of relationships in real life. In particular, the shift of communication to the virtual space is typical for young people, and this age group is in the greatest risk zone: the informatization of modern society has led to changes in the suicidal behavior of young people. The social network “VKontacte” is the largest and most popular on the territory of Belarus and Russian-speaking countries. During last years it was associated in media with the suicidal quest “Blue whale”. The main conclusions made on the basis of the investigation are showing that the that groups and communities that promote suicide in the social network \"VKontakte\" are absent today. All known and popular hashtags that were relevant to presuicidal quests are blocked. The steps taken at the legislative level by the government of the Russian Federation and the administration of Vkontakte, preventing the spread of prosuicidal content, had a positive impact on the situation, radically changing it.
