Summary: | The aims of a private rest zone project are to create a multi–functional recreational area, accessible in all seasons, to hide away from the noisy neighbour, to shield from the sun and to make a private area not visible to others. For this project I chose my residential house plot. I wanted to design a patio landscape that can be realistically implemented. 582 square meters plot of the project area is divided into several functional zones: a lounge area, storage area, garden and access to the buildings. The project includes the plans for lighting, flooring and plants. The rest zone is harmoniously integrated into the environment. The capacity of this zone is up to six people. Determined users age is 18 - 60 years. The equipment of the projected rest area is three double padded benches. If needed, the pads can be easily removed. For users comfort there is also a table designed which is made of larch. Designed equipment is built onto the terrace floor which is made from the Karelian pine planks. |
