Summary: | The system of terror and re-education incorporating deadly machine known as gulag is most often associated with labour camps of Kolyma, Vorkuta, Magadan, etc. It is far less known that the roots of this system are to be found close to St.Petersburg in a small group of islands called Solovki in the White Sea. A question „Where was God when the inmates were pushed down from the steps of a chapel on Sekirka hill in Solovki“ is purely rhetoric, but pain and misery of communist not negate the existence of God but justify his necessity. |
