Norwegian salmon is famous around the world. But less is known about the entrepreneurial fish farmers producing this commodity. This teaching case tells the story of Kvar√∏y Fiskeoppdrett, a small family-owned fish farmer located on a remote island in Northern Norway, who decided to become the world's most sustainable fish farmer. The case provides insights into the history of the firm with a focus on entrepreneurial decisions made and actions taken on their way to becoming more sustainable. The case draws on several educational moments, and the case activities build on game-based learning to develop skills and mindset to act entrepreneurially for a sustainable future. Because of the flexibility of the case activity, the case can be adjusted and used as an introductory exercise to entrepreneurship as well as for more advanced students on different levels.
