Augu ekstraktu izpēte inovatīvu antibakteriālu mutes dobuma kopšanas līdzekļu izstrādei

Mūsdienās pieaug baktēriju rezistence pret antibiotikām, turklāt tās lietojot, var parādīties nevēlami blakusefekti. Tas padara jaunu, dabīgu līdzekļu meklējumus arvien aktuālākus. Par iespējamu alternatīvu tiek uzskatīti augos esošie sekundārie metabolīti, kam piemīt antibakteriālas īpašības. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija novērtēt augu ekstraktu izmantošanas iespējas antibakteriālu mutes dobuma kopšanas līdzekļu izstrādei. Darba gaitā tika noskaidrota 15 augu – bērza, cidoniju, dzērveņu, Islandes ķērpja, kazeņu, melleņu, meža zemeņu, nātru, pētersīļu, pīlādžu, salvijas, smiltsērkšķa, upeņu, ķērpja Usnea barbata – ekstraktu ietekmi uz baktēriju Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus acidophilus un Fusobacterium nucleatum augšanu barotnēs, mākslīgajās siekalās un zobu pastas sastāvā. No 15 pārbaudītajām augu sugām antimikrobiāla aktivitāte piemita 13 augu sugām. Today, the bacterial resistance to antibiotics is increasing, furthermore usage of them can result in unwanted side-effects. That makes a quest for new, natural resources increasingly topical. A possible alternative is considered to be the secondary metabolites in plants, which express antibacterial properties. The aim of the Bachelor`s work was to evaluate the potentialities of plant extracts for the development of innovative antibacterial oral care products. During agenda the impact of plant extracts of 15 plants – birch, quince, cranberry, fennel, Iceland lichen, blackberry, blueberry, wild strawberry, nettle, parsley, sage, rowan tree, buckthorn, blackcurrant, extract of lichen Usnea barbata – on the growth of bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Fusobacterium nucleatum in culture medium, artificial saliva and as a content of toothpaste. Out of the 15 examined species 13 species exhibited an antimicrobial activity. The growth of S.aureus was inhibited by majority 76% of tested plant extracts. All four microorganisms were inhibited by 35% of plant extracts, from which the greatest antibacterial activity expressed extracts of Iceland lichen and birch leaves. No activity was observed in the use of ethanol/water extracts of rowan tree and sea buckthorn and oil extracts of buckthorn and nettle. The medium of artificial saliva intensified the antibacterial effect of plant extracts. S.aureus and S.mutans in the medium of artificial saliva, which had added 10% extract of birch leaves, lost viability after two hours. In a composition of experimental toothpaste 10% extract of birch leaves expressed greatest activity. The Bachelor`s work contains 99 references, 8 tables and 2 figures . Key words: oral microflora, plant extracts, antibacterial activity, artificial saliva, toothpaste. |
