Summary: | Eighteen species of copepods are reported from fishes of the western North Pacific, including the Bering Sea, Sea of Okhotsk and Sea of Japan. They belong to nine families (Caligidae, Chondracanthidae, Dichelesthiidae, Euryphoridae, Hatschekiidae, Pandaridae, Pennellidae, Lernaeopodidae, N aobranchiidae) in two orders (Poecilostomatoida, Siphonostomatoida) with two of them being new to science: Acanthochondria kajika n. sp. on Triglops scepticus Gilbert and Nectobrachia iceli n. sp. on Icelus ochotensis Schmidt. Since many of the remaining 16 species are either new to this part of the Pacific Ocean or lacking good descriptions for reference, illustrations are given for poorly known species in addition to the new species. Lepeophtheirus watanabei Shiino, 1954 is proposed to be a synonym of L. bychowskyi Gusev, 1951.
