One of the important factors and living conditions is water-supply of garrisons. At the same time the drinking water produced from melted snow can’t be considered valuable as it virtually doesn’t contain salts, is low-mineralized and, at the same time, can have a high level of man-made contamination. It is a common feeling generally recognized that drinking such water causes imbalance of water-salt metabolism in the organism, and leads to the increase in the incidence of cardiovascular pathology. Consequently, melt-water must be cleared, mineralized, that is to saturate with the salts, preferably to the level of the physiological usefulness, as required by current Federal sanitary legislation of Russia.
