An Online Solution to Help High School Students (in General and Vocational Learning): SAMI-PRO

A developmental research has created a multimedia and interactive support system to help perseverance of high school studies (SAMI-PRO). This system hopes to connect with high school students, more specifically those from adult training center. Based on a user-centered methodology, the first phase of the SAMI-PRO system has been commented by teachers and students in three stages: choice of content (difficulties and help tools in French and mathematics), validation of the navigation and display features of the device, design and relevance of the device. These three measures allowed for modifications in order to meet the expectations of students and start the second phase of the research, focused on the development of learning strategies and school integration. La ejecución de un proyecto de investigación y desarrollo permitió poner a punto un sistema multimedia e interactivo para favorecer la perseverancia en los estudios (SAMI-PRO). Este sistema está destinado a los estudiantes de secundaria, especialmente a aquellos que están en formación profesional, así como a los jóvenes que retoman los estudios en un centro de capacitación para adultos. Siguiendo una metodología centrada en el usuario, el dispositivo desarrollado en la fase 1 de SAMI-PRO fue comentado por docentes y alumnos en tres etapas: elección de contenidos (dificultades y herramientas de ayuda en francés y en matemáticas); validación de las funciones de navegación y de visualización del dispositivo y, validación del diseño y la pertinencia del dispositivo. Estos tres momentos permitieron realizar modificaciones para satisfacer las expectativas de los estudiantes y así comenzar la segunda fase de la investigación, la cual se centra en el desarrollo de estrategias de aprendizaje y en la integración escolar.
