Summary:The article is devoted to the 150th birth anniversary of the famous Russian and Soviet obstetrician-gynecologist Vasily Vasiliyevich Preobrazhensky (1874-1944), became in 1934 the first head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Arkhangelsk State Medical Institute, who laid the foundation for development of the Northern Scientific School of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Статья посвящена 150-летию со дня рождения известного русского и советского акушера-гинеколога Василия Васильевича Преображенского (1874-1944), который в 1934 г. стал первым заведующим кафедрой акушерства и гинекологии Архангельского государственного медицинского института, положив начало развитию Северной научной школы акушерства и гинекологии.
